Paid app, one-time purchase, available only on the App Store.
This official guide covers purchasing and restoring the app. Verify the App Store listing before proceeding.

Check the App Store and account region

Shadowrocket is available only on the App Store. It isn’t available on the mainland China App Store, so if you can’t find it, first check which store your account is using instead of repeatedly changing your search terms. The country or region associated with your Apple ID determines which storefront you see. Your physical location and device language are separate from your App Store region. Even if the product link opens in a browser, your ability to purchase depends on the account currently signed in to the App Store and its store terms.

Open the product link near the top of this page and check whether the App Store says the app is unavailable in your region. If it is, go back and verify your account region. Seeing the app’s details page doesn’t guarantee that your account can complete the purchase. Availability, price, and payment outcome are determined by what the App Store displays.

Check your Apple ID country or region

  1. Open Settings on your device, then tap your Apple ID account at the top.
  2. Tap Media & Purchases, choose View Account, and follow the prompts to authenticate.
  3. Tap Country/Region to see the storefront currently associated with your account.
  4. If you want to change it, use the option on that page and review the listed requirements before proceeding.

Account labels may vary across system versions, but the account to check is always the one used for Media & Purchases. It may differ from the account used for other Apple services on your device. Make a note of the account used for the purchase; you’ll need it later to restore the app. You don’t need to sign out of your entire device account just to check the region.

Changing your country or region may be subject to requirements involving your account balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing group, payment method, and billing address. Apple’s account page determines whether you can proceed. This page explains where to find the setting but can’t guarantee that a change will be accepted. If the page asks you to resolve account issues, follow its instructions first. Don’t keep trying to pay until you’ve confirmed both the region and the purchase account.

Verify Shadowrocket using these three details

Don’t rely on the name Shadowrocket alone. Search results may include apps with similar names or icons, or mix their descriptions with information about other apps. Open the product page and check the developer, official icon, and app ID in turn. All three should match. Screenshots can help you recognize the interface, but they don’t verify the app’s identity.

Official icon: A rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background, matching the icon shown here.

Check each detail on the product page

  1. Check the developer or seller information and confirm the name is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. A similar name doesn’t mean it’s the same developer.
  2. Check the product icon against the official icon shown on this page. Don’t use a different color or design as a basis for identification.
  3. Check the product link for id932747118 and confirm the app ID is 932747118. The app ID is especially important when titles look similar.

If any detail doesn’t match, stop before buying and return to the product link on this page to check again. If you opened the App Store directly on your device and can’t see the full URL, use the link on this page to confirm the product, then check its developer and icon in the store. Don’t use review nicknames, search ranking, or recommendations in place of these three checks.

Compare the official Home and Add Server screens

The two screenshots below are from the official App Store listing. Home shows connection status, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and the SERVER group. Add Server shows fields such as Type, Host, Port, Password, and Method. These images illustrate the screen layout; they don’t mean a server will be available after installation, and your lists don’t need to match the screenshots.

The interface may change with device layout and app updates, so a button in a different position doesn’t mean the app is incorrect. First verify the app’s identity, then follow the labels on your current screen. Fields and lists shown in the screenshots are not connection details for users; configure the app using your own existing subscription or server information.

Buy and open Shadowrocket on iPhone for the first time

Open the App Store product page on your iPhone. Check compatibility and the current price before buying and installing the app. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements; don’t rely on system version numbers in older guides to determine compatibility. If the store asks you to update iOS, check available updates, storage, and backups before returning to the product page.

After payment, wait until the App Store finishes installing the app, then open Shadowrocket from the Home Screen or App Library. If the button still says Waiting or the progress hasn’t finished, check your network connection and available storage; don’t buy the app again. If the purchase is complete but the app hasn’t appeared, check your App Store account’s purchases to confirm its status rather than searching repeatedly.

Understand system authorization on first connection

Opening the app for the first time doesn’t establish a connection. Check the list on Home, then import your own subscription or server information. When you’re ready to connect, the system may ask for permission to add a VPN configuration. This authorizes the device to establish the relevant network connection. Read the prompt, confirm it names the Shadowrocket app you just installed, then authorize it and authenticate on your device if you choose to proceed.

Granting permission only allows the device to create the configuration; it doesn’t prove the server works or that your rules and DNS are set up as needed. If Home shows Not Connected, check that you’ve selected an existing server, then check the connection switch. If the switch is on but webpages won’t load, don’t reinstall the app repeatedly. Check your server details, Global Routing, and network status instead.

What to check after installation

First, make sure Home contains your own server or subscription, then check the Global Routing selection. The interface uses Config, Proxy, and Direct for configuration, proxy, and direct connection. If you use Config, also check which configuration file is active. Change one setting at a time and test the same webpage to compare results. This helps keep purchase issues separate from connection issues.

For complete instructions, read the subscription import and first connection guide. If the app opens but you’re having trouble connecting, go to Troubleshooting and follow the checks for your symptoms. Purchasing and connecting are separate steps; paying again won’t fix server settings or incorrect rules.

Install and use Shadowrocket on iPad with the same account

After buying Shadowrocket once with an Apple ID, you can redownload it from purchases on a compatible iPhone or iPad. First, make sure the original purchase account is signed in under Media & Purchases on your iPad, then find Shadowrocket in the App Store. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements and purchase eligibility. Being able to sign in doesn’t necessarily mean your system meets the app’s compatibility requirements.

An iPad has more screen space, so list widths, page layouts, and the position of some controls may differ from iPhone. Use labels such as Home, Config, Settings, and Add Server to find your way around; there’s no need to match a phone screenshot pixel for pixel. The same setup principles apply: identify the type of information you have, then check the relevant fields. Don’t mix parameters from different protocols.

Check purchase history and connection settings separately

Being able to redownload with the same account means your app purchase can be used to get the client again. It doesn’t mean your server list, active Config, or connection status will be the same on both devices. After installing, check what’s shown on Home. To continue your previous setup, use a saved configuration or import an existing subscription again, then check which server is selected.

If your iPhone connects but your iPad doesn’t, compare the devices’ current networks, subscription update status, Global Routing, and active Config. Also check any actual limits your existing service may place on simultaneous connections. A purchase with the same account doesn’t guarantee a particular connection limit or service availability. App purchases and the terms of your existing service are separate.

Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision

The compatibility section of the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. To use the app on one of these devices, open that product page on the device. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements, device compatibility, and whether the purchase is universal. The App Store remains the only way to get the app. The first-connection instructions on this page are primarily for iPhone and iPad; layouts on other devices may differ.

If the App Store says the app is unavailable on a device, check that device’s compatibility and account storefront. Don’t assume it will be available just because you can install it on another device. Review the product page requirements before buying or restoring to avoid purchase records being split across different accounts.

Restore Shadowrocket after changing devices or reinstalling

A purchase is linked to the Apple ID used to complete the transaction. After getting a new device or deleting the app, sign in to the original purchase account and find Shadowrocket in your App Store purchases to download it again, usually without paying again. Before restoring, check the account actually used for Media & Purchases, not just the personal information shown at the top of your device.

Find Shadowrocket in your purchases

  1. Open the App Store and tap the account icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Open Purchased. Depending on your system version, you may find this under Apps or a section for purchase history. Follow the labels shown on your screen.
  3. Find Shadowrocket in your purchased apps and check the official icon.
  4. Tap to download it again, then open the app once installation is complete. If prompted to verify, follow the instructions for the original purchase account.
  5. Check Home and Config, reimport your own subscription or server information, then test the connection.

If the product page still shows a price, pause before paying. Check whether you’re signed in with the original purchase account, look for the transaction in your purchase history, and confirm whether it was completed. A new account won’t inherit another account’s purchase history. If you’re unsure which account you used, verify it with your existing order information instead of trying to recover the purchase by paying repeatedly.

If you can’t find the app in Purchased, don’t assume the purchase record is lost. Check that you’re looking at your own list, review any filters, and see whether the app is hidden. Also distinguish an app purchase from a server service record: they come from separate transactions, and a service record doesn’t prove you bought the app.

Family Sharing and purchase eligibility

To see whether Family Sharing applies, check the App Store product page and your current Family Sharing settings. Don’t assume the steps for restoring a purchase with the same Apple ID also apply to other family members’ accounts. Family group settings, hidden purchases, and account region may affect what appears. If the system prompt doesn’t match your purchase history, keep your order details and use the purchase support options provided by your Apple account.

Price, one-time purchase, and updates

Shadowrocket is a closed-source commercial app available as a one-time purchase on the App Store, with no monthly client fee. The US App Store reference price is $2.99. Other storefronts show local currency; check the App Store page for the actual price, taxes, and purchase terms. Before paying, verify the app name and amount on the system confirmation screen. A reference price on a webpage isn’t the final charge.

Buying the app gives you access to the client; it doesn’t generate connection details. If your list is empty after installation, check whether you already have a subscription or server information. There’s no additional app purchase to find in the store. Use your existing information for the address, port, authentication method, and protocol parameters.

Keep app costs and service costs separate

If a service you already use requires renewal, that’s a condition of that service—not a monthly fee for the Shadowrocket client. To identify a charge, check the payment record and item name, then determine whether it’s for the app or an existing service. If the app opens but can’t connect to a server, that doesn’t mean your app purchase has expired.

Keep your App Store purchase receipt for restoring the app on a new device and checking your billing history. If the payment status is unclear, wait for the order to update and check your purchase history. For billing or refund issues, use the purchase history and support options in your Apple account. The outcome depends on what those options show and how the request is handled; this page can’t guarantee a refund or account outcome.

Manage updates through the App Store

App updates are delivered through the App Store. You can enable automatic updates in your device settings or check for available updates from your account page. Save important configurations before updating. If controls move, check the labels in the current interface, then refer to the relevant section of the official guide. The product page’s compatibility and update details are a better guide to current device requirements than older screenshots.

This page doesn’t list a fixed app version or update date, so outdated information won’t affect your purchase decision. If you’ve already installed the app, you don’t need to pay again to check for updates. After buying, installing, or restoring the app, read the tutorial for import steps, or visit FAQs for common questions.

Download and purchase FAQs

Can’t find Shadowrocket on the App Store? What to check first

First, check the country or region for the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases. The app is not available on the mainland China App Store. Then check Screen Time content and age-rating restrictions, and verify app ID 932747118 through the product link on this page. Changing your device language does not change your App Store region.

The product page opens, but the download won’t complete. What should I do?

Check system compatibility, available device storage, your network connection, and any App Store account prompts, in that order. If the purchase is incomplete, check your payment method and billing status. If you’ve already purchased the app, check your purchases first. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements, and don’t try paying again until the order status is clear.

Do I need to pay again after changing devices or reinstalling?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, then find Shadowrocket under your App Store account’s purchases to download it again. You usually won’t need to pay again. If a price appears, check the Media & Purchases account and purchase history first. After restoring the app, you’ll still need to import your own subscription or server details.

Can I install it on my iPad after buying it with the same Apple ID?

Yes. Sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase on your iPhone or iPad, then redownload the app from purchases on a compatible device. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements and purchase eligibility. Check your purchase history separately from your Config, subscription, and server settings.

Where can I get Shadowrocket for Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Open the product page on the device you want to use. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements, device compatibility, and whether the purchase is universal. The App Store remains the only way to get the app.

How do I follow the instructions if the app is in English?

This page uses official English screenshots from the App Store and keeps interface labels such as Home, Global Routing, Config, and Add Server unchanged. Find the feature by its interface label, then read the explanation. Don’t judge whether the app is genuine by its interface language alone; verify the developer, official icon, and app ID.
